Access Statement for Manor Farm House

Manor Farm House is a generously proportioned 18th century building, which allows easy movement in its spacious rooms.

There are two double ensuite bedrooms on the first floor, Job’s and Nuncs’, and for those with impaired mobility there is accommodation for up to four people in the annexe apartment on the ground floor.

Car parking and entrance to the house

There is ample parking on the railing-enclosed compacted-gravel drive close to the guest entrance doorway.

Access to the house is via a 17cm high by 76cm deep step and then an 8 x 8cm cill through the 103cm wide doorway into the entrance vestibule, with two easy chairs and reading material.

Users of the annexe apartment may park their cars adjacent to the front door of the annexe, accessible via the Manor Courtyard entrance. This has its own front door with a 14cm high entrance step. Wheelchair users can gain level access to the apartment via the owners’ back door, also adjacent to the car parking area.

Access to bedrooms and ensuite facilities

Job’s and Nuncs’ rooms are accessed via a 102cm wide carpeted staircase with 20 treads, 17cm high, with a banister on the right hand side.

At the top of the stairs Job’s Room has a double/twin 6’ super king bed and an ensuite bathroom, with hand basin, w.c. and a shower over the whirlpool bath.

Along the passageway a little, Nuncs’ Room has a 5’ king size bed and an ensuite shower, hand basin and w.c. in an eighteenth wig-powdering cupboard in the room.

There is access to both sides of all double beds.

Access to Breakfast Room

From the top of the stairs, with the banister on your left, there are 4 steps down to a half-landing, then 12 more to the second half-landing, which is level with the breakfast room, now to your right. There are 4 further steps down to ground floor level.
